Why Politics on Meal-n-Minutes?
If you’re a new reader here, you might be wondering why I am writing about politics when I’m a food writer with the Meals-n-Minutes title.
Well, to make a long story short, I started this Substack a little over a year ago. I started out as a food writer because of my love of cooking and writing. It seemed to be a good fit for me then.
But at the same time, I was also interested in the MAGA movement. I was watching all of Trump’s rallies and didn’t miss a one. Right around the time that I started writing here, they raided Trump’s home in Mar-a-largo.
Then, after the first assassination attempt, I became really enraged and concerned that the Deep State was trying to completely take away our country.
I was afraid that we were not going to have a country left if the Biden regime won the election. So, I started the Save America column to help fight back against the dark cloud of communism that was trying to take over our country.
I wrote my first political article called We’ve Got a Country to Save and published it in October of last year. It tells the complete story of why I am writing about MAGA, and you can read it all by clicking here.
So, that’s the story on that and you can see why I’m writing about politics and food. And I seem to have more people coming in under the MAGA column. So, I just wanted to get some idea if I should write more of that content.
If you are happy with the content as it is, just vote for “All of the Above.”
I think you can only choose one option from above. If you like more than one, please hit comment below to tell me all the content you like.
Thanks for taking the time to make this publication better.
I very much appreciate it.
Coming this Thursday: The Magic and Speed of Frozen Vegetables Done the Right Way
The next lesson in the SuperFast Meal Mastery course posts on Thursday morning. It’s all about the convenience of frozen vegetables.
Did you know that frozen vegetables are actually more nutritious than the fresh produce in the vegetable aisle?
And did you realize that they are a lot more convenient?
They are already washed, pre-cut and proportioned in perfect sizes for your cooking convenience.
That’s why I’m a big fan and include them in all my SuperFast recipes. When speed and convenience matters, nothing is faster and easier to get on the plate than frozen vegetables.
But did you know that most people get it all wrong when it comes to cooking them?
Most people just boil them, but that’s a big mistake. If you boil them, they will just turn to mush.
Yuk!
I’ve got a better way to cook them that keeps the colors bright and the textures firm. And it is actually faster than boiling.
I’ll tell you all about it on Thursday morning.
See you then,
Gary
P.S. Thanks so much for taking the time to cast your vote it the survey above. It means a lot to me and will really help me give you the content you want. See you Thursday.
I’m single now at an old age so I enjoy reading about ways to cook but more important to me is. SAVING AMERICA , so if u don’t mind I’ll make America first then a recipe .
Who doesn't want the goodness and benefits of more veggies... without the standing and cutting? But mostly without constantly checking the date of when they were bought.
I had taken to writing on the bag/pkg, b'cuz I assumed 'seeing' the dates get older (same kind of anxiety when watching a taxi meter) would somehow "goose" me into nightly prep. Nope!
Looking forward to learning about frozen vegetables at the 'ripe-but-not-frozen' old age of 78¾!
