“I haven't been politically active before. I'm politically active now, because I think the future of America and future of civilization is at stake” - Elon Musk
Like Elon Musk, I haven’t been very politically active. For the most part of my adult life I never really voted or thought that politics was important or made that much difference in my personal life.
But boy, has all that changed now. Frankly, what’s going on in the country the last four years has got me scared to death.
I’ve never seen so much craziness: Criminal illegals pouring over the border by the millions, crime out of control, prices for food and gas are climbing every day.
A pound of hamburger at Walmart is now $6.00 where I live. If this craziness continues, what will a pound of hamburger cost this time next year? $8. 00? $10.00? $15.00?
Politics has become a full-blown emergency, like my hair is on fire. I feel like I’m fighting for my life.
So, in response I’ve been making a lot of political posts about the upcoming presidential election. And several of you have messaged me and asked, "You’re a food writer. Why are you posting about politics?"
That’s a good question, but the answer is simple. I’m writing about politics because it’s crucial at this moment. We’ve got a country to save and I’m going to fight for it with everything that I’ve got.
So, for right now, I’m going to suspend writing about food and go all in to Save America. I’m even creating a whole section devoted to these posts on my homepage called Save America. Please bookmark this critical page and come back often and share the posts whenever you can. Join me in the fight.
We have never been this close to losing our country to the grips of socialism and communism. If we don’t speak up now, we may not get another chance. Nothing else matters if our freedoms are stripped away, and that’s exactly what’s at stake in this election.
We’ve reached a point where the values that have made America strong and great are under attack. Freedom of speech, religious liberty, and the right to defend ourselves—all of these fundamental principles are being chipped away.
The radical Marxist agenda seeks to destroy the very foundations of our nation. They want to rewrite our history, take away our rights, and turn America into something unrecognizable.
I’m posting about politics because I love this country. I love its people, its spirit, and the opportunities it provides. If we don’t protect that, it’s all going to disappear. That’s why the upcoming election is so vital. It’s not just about party politics; it’s about preserving the very essence of what it means to be an American.
I’m also writing about politics because of the legacy my family left behind. My father and uncles fought in World War II, sacrificing so much for the freedom we enjoy today.
One of my uncles stormed the beach at Normandy on D Day, and in the process, stepped on a landmine that crippled him for life. He didn’t do that for nothing. He, along with countless other brave men and women, fought to protect our country and ensure we remained a beacon of freedom and hope.
Their sacrifices were made so that we could live in a free nation, not one ruled by tyrants or those who wish to destroy our way of life. We can’t let sacrifices like that be wasted on people who are the very enemies of what we stand for. We owe it to them, to their courage and to their pain, to protect what they fought so hard to preserve. We must stand firm in defending the country they gave so much for.
President Trump stands as the best candidate to push back against these forces. He’s proven that he can handle the pressure, and he’s committed to making America strong again. We need a leader who isn’t afraid to take on the tough battles, who stands for freedom and prosperity, and who will fight for the everyday American.
This isn’t just about politics—it’s about survival. If we don’t stand up and make our voices heard, the Marxists will win, and everything we hold dear will be gone forever. And being a food writer on Substack won’t matter anymore.
So, I encourage everyone to get involved, be informed, and vote for the future of this country. Take everyone you know with you when you go to vote.
We’ve got a country to save, and the time to act is now. Together, we can make sure that America remains the land of the free and the home of the brave.
It's sadly appropriate that in a country that loves firearms so much, the majority shot themselves in the foot. Enjoy the theocratic/exploitative hole you're heading into. Just like a megachurch - only bigger.
Gary, would you fire me an email? I have a question! DM me if you need my email address!
