It has long been exposed that the legacy mainstream media (MSM), also labeled the “fake news” by President Trump have acted outside the boundaries of truth and decency for much of the last few decades.

Sec. Scott Bessent says that when he sees what they [mainstream media] are reporting, he believes the term ‘Fake News’ probably is not strong enough.

They are essentially the propaganda arm of the Democrat party, serving to manufacture talking points that fit their progressive narrative instead of reporting the facts.

Even right-leaning outlets like Fox News and Newsmax are bound by corporate interests, pushing narratives that fit their bottom line rather than telling the full story.

Independent journalists, and citizen newswriters like myself and others here on Substack and other platforms, however, operate differently. We live and breathe honesty, relying on research and delivering content that matters.

Our goal and purpose are clear: Stand up for TRUTH and get that message to as many people as possible.

Unlike corporate media, we aren’t selling a prepackaged agenda—and because of that, commercial powers work hard to limit our reach and influence.

Fake News Media Leans Liberal and Loses Public Trust

Surveys have demonstrated that the legacy mainstream media (MSM) are more liberal than the rest of America.

Studies conducted between 1978 and 2004 reveal that journalists tend to lean significantly more liberal than conservative. They also show a greater liberal inclination compared to the general public. Over the last two decades, this trend has only intensified.

None of the surveys suggested that mainstream media is staffed by independent thinkers who balance liberal and conservative viewpoints. The majority of journalists consistently provide liberal responses to nearly all the poll questions posed to them.

Maybe that’s why, “Only 32% of the population reports having ‘a great deal’ or ‘a fair amount’ of confidence that the [mainstream] media reports the news in a full, fair and accurate way.”

Put another way, “A record-high number of Americans (39%), say they don't trust the media at all. That number has steadily increased since 2018.”

In 2023, only 11% of Republicans expressed trust in the media—a figure that has likely dropped even further since then. Among Independents, trust stood at 29%, meaning over two-thirds hold little to no confidence in the press.

Unsurprisingly, Democrats lead the pack in trusting mainstream media, with 58% expressing faith in its reporting. It seems those who embrace the same flawed narratives tend to stick together, feeding into each other's illusions.

If you approve of the current state of mass media, you’re not standing for America. You’re standing for communism.

If America continues down the path progressives are pushing, Democrats will only grow more confident in the media, while conservatives are left isolated, questioning how things went so wrong.

The truth is, it’s hard to see how the United States can survive when most of its people no longer trust the free press.

There’s Still Hope to Keep Truthful Free Speech Alive

You want to do your part to protect America from Marxists, Socialists, and Communists who have infiltrated and taken control of key institutions—our government, schools, and mainstream media.

You do everything expected of a good citizen: contact your representatives, support conservative causes, and cast your vote in every election. Maybe you even slap a conservative bumper sticker on your car, proudly displaying your beliefs for all to see.

But despite your efforts, nothing seems to change.

Progressives continue to push forward, while conservatives are left retreating or stuck in place. Congress feels more and more like an exclusive club where money and power matter far more than the voices of those who voted them into office.

Still, there’s hope.

Independent writers, citizen journalists, and commentators like this publication are working tirelessly to deliver the truth to Americans like you who crave it.

They carry the torch of the Founding Fathers’ vision, often sacrificing greater financial success to uphold honesty and freedom—for the sake of keeping America true to its founding principles.
